Clos Puy Arnaud

Arnaud Ente

Meursault Chardonnay 2013

Amazing wine. Coche and Ente really are in a different league. Captivating aromatics, incredible fruit definition laced with matchstick and stony minerals. Superb weight, density and persistence—crazy for village. Such a special white burg. — 8 days ago

Château Grand-Puy Ducasse

Prelude a Grand-Puy Ducasse Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Second wine of classed growth Grand-Puy Ducasse. Blend 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, has Merlot that did not make the cut for the top wine. Deep Ruby red color, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and cinnamon spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, smoky spice and earthy mineral character. Good now! — a month ago

Brézé Cuvee Viticole Saumur Cabernet Franc 2017

Bright, clean , drinks youthful. No pyrazines to speak of. Maybe in a slightly dumb/closed phase. Will revisit tomorrow. Edit/ day two, now it’s expressive. Pyrazines coming through. This is a delicate wine. Versatile with food. Excellent purity. — 8 days ago

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend

Ok a bit of a go-to and ok 2022 is a bit young — but excellent nonetheless — a month ago

Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Earthy nose with black fruits and chocolate notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, spices, oak, licorice, dark chocolates, coffee, light vegetables, herbs and black pepper.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Paulliac. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex, elegant and fruit forward.

This 9 year old is peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Easy drinking, and good by itself or with food.

A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. Aged in (75% new) French oak barrels for 17 months.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$85.
