Reddish in color with medium intensity.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and fruity.
Showing red cherries, currants, light wood, spices, coffee and peppercorn.
Spicy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
Nicely balanced with mild complexity. Easy drinking and good by itself.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with some air time. The high alcohol is well integrated.
I had the 2015 vintage and it was better.
A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Cinsault.
15.5% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Surprised at how much we enjoyed this given how our tastes have moved somewhat away from CdP. At a great point in its evolution - the oak that some previous reviewers note has largely receded and the dark fruit comes through. But well balanced with good acid and some nice herbs. Surprisingly good pairing with chicken enchiladas with a tomatillo sauce - the herb notes pick up something in the tomatillo. Nice wine. — 9 months ago
Fantastic wine at a great price. I actually prefer it to the Chateau la Nerthe. — 4 years ago
