The 2023 Ot de Vins el Cep is a tasty, cosmopolitan red that blends Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah from Penedès. Expressive fruit-forward aromas include cherry, sour cherry and blood orange. Dry and grippy on the palate, it flows with gentle, mildly juicy textures. $14.00 (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, October 2024) — 2 months ago

At Auberge du Cep, Fleurie. With escargots and faux gilet de boeuf (R) and paté en croute and poitrine et cuisse de poulet avec vin rouge et champignons (L). Excellent. — 2 years ago
Luxembourg! Nose is very interesting. Lots of mineral stank, bruised apple, and freshly-sliced Golden Delicious apple right out of the gate. After several minutes, meadowy notes and wet stream stones appear. Richly fruity but bone dry, nice acids. There’s an intense minerality that even becomes a little bitter in the finish, but it all works. Unique! — 3 months ago
