Classic Bordeaux. No cellar tricks here. Also interesting blend of Carmenere, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Expressive and deep nose of cherry and berry fruit and lovely dusty earth. Some weedy tobacco and old books. Lovey earthiness. This reminds me of the old days. Palate is juicy and deep with lovely freshness, purity and clarity. Not complex but all the parts come together so well. Nice ripe tannins and even a bit of elegance. Excellent value. What cheap Bordeaux should be but never ever is.
