Old-school Italian wine that is perfect for pizza. Somewhat thin and alcoholic but typical of wines served in Italian restaurants in Brooklyn when I was small. Flavorful and a perfect match to the marinara sauce of New York Patsy’s Pizzeria or Joe & Pat’s. — a month ago
Dry but with raspberries. Great. — 2 months ago
Medium Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and earthy spice, organically grown fruit. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum with tobacco, floral and earthy flowery notes. Full-bodied, well balanced drying tannins on a smooth medium+ finish. Grab some Italian food and enjoy the great value wine. Sustainable. — 2 months ago
Medium+ body, high acid, with notes of tart cherry, leather, baking spices, and tobacco. Paired great with Osso Buco. — a month ago
Darkly floral, the 2022 Rosso di Montalcino opens with a blend of grilled herbs, exotic spices and steeped plums. It's a racy and fruit-forward effort with masses of ripe red and blue fruits swirling across a lively acidity stream. This tapers off with medium length and gently tannic, leaving a lovely resonance of inner rose. (Eric Guido, Vinous, September 2024)

The nose is intense, intense, ripe cherry, almond, black tea, soy sauce, this is complex and inviting. The palate is acid driven, showing some young and lively tannins, but it's rich, broad, with some matter on the side, cherries and black tea notes, a bowl of a mid palate with that tannic effect, and a long tannic finish with cherry, a tiny salty, savoury note, some black tea and a bit of a zing thzt lasts for a good minute. Good stuff — 2 days ago
