Carnuntum, Niederösterreich

Weingut Glatzer

BIO ROSÉ St. Laurent Blend

This wine is the Rose’ version of Carnuntum. Beautiful light salmon color. Blend of St. Laurant (60%) and Blaufrankish (40%). Light Aromas and intense flavors of tart strawberry, minerals and wet stones. Crisp acidity. Well balanced. — 10 days ago

Carnuntum Gruner Veltliner 2018

Prominent green, vegetal aromas with underlying floral and citrus notes (that classic "smells German or Austrian"), bright citrusy acidity balanced by a rounder body, lingering minerality. — 21 days ago

Alter Native Österreich Grüner Veltliner 2016

GV with skins & malo. Not the GV you’re expecting. Raveneau ringer. Nearly confusing. — 14 days ago

Loibner Berg Smaragd Grüner Veltliner 2008

Indian summer in a glass. Grilled pineapple, marzipan, saffron, honeysuckle, white pepper and wet rocks. Plenty of acidity (for a GruVe), great structure and complexity and density, as well.
Terrific wine!

Preisinger Reinberger, Rhein Riesling Wagramstölln 2018

First Austrian Riesling if I'm not mistaking and probably not the last as it's pretty good! Lemon and lemon zest along with white pepper and some flowery notes. This is a beautiful nose. The palate is dry but very well balanced : great acid, great width, a soft mouthfeel yet quite vibrant, some lemony touches all along, there is matter and it's quite complex. The finish is long, dry and fresh with lemon and lemon zest. Grezt effort and the balance of it makes it much better than most of the German Riesling I tasted recently

Loibenberg Smaragd Riesling 2018

Second take on this one

Lemon, lemon peel, some yeasty notes and that flowery touch. It's intoxicating! The palate is great and well made. A massive acid backbone, some great lemony notes all along, a great, vivid and grippy mouthfeel and a long fresh finish with lemon and lemon peel that goes for ever. This is much better than most of the German rieslings I had recently for the same price tag but in a more straight forward, citrusy way
