This is an absolutely crowd pleaser GSM out of the Côtes du Rhône Appellation. The composition of this wine is a blend of a very old Grenache at 75%, Mourvèdre at 15% &
Syrah at 10%.
All these grapes are sourced from Signargues, Cairanne and Rasteau, which have an eco-environment and well delineated terroirs from both banks of the Rhône River. Everything combined translates into an exceptional expression of Grenache-driven, rich, powerful yet subtle and generous on the palate with a compelling finesse and extremely balanced.
Hard to have only one glass, cheers! — 2 months ago
Light body and color, but intense fruit. Raspberry, and the tannic character of the pips. Very fresh. — 2 months ago
Medium-bodied. Smooth as silk. A good warm finish. — a month ago
Finally, starting to fade a little, but still quite drinkable — 2 months ago
Shhhhh. Holy Saturday, Batman!!! Easter bunny drinks rosé! Perfect libation for plastic egg prep. Nice balance between sweetness and acidity in the mouth. The finish shows fresh fruit and great length. — 24 days ago
A nice blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre, and Cinsault with great balance. March 2025.

Waft of fruit on the nose immediately, raspberry and cassis. Soft but with a dense round mouthfeel. Young tannins, front of tongue and sides. You can taste the Syrah coming through. Could use another year or two easily but very nice now. — 2 months ago

Domaine Clape’s Côtes du Rhône is made from two tiny parcels totaling maybe three acres. One parcel is in Saint-Péray and the second parcel lies just outside of Cornas.
Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service. The 2017 Côtes du Rhônes pours, a deep, ruby/purple color with a magenta rim and a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful notes of ripe and tart fruit: brambles, fig, lavender, bacon fat, black pepper, dried green herbs, and some warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. There is unmissable pedigree here. Certainly not your ordinary Côtes du Rhône. This is in a very lovely spot. Drink now through 2032. — 15 days ago
