Classy & elegant with ripe black fruit, exotic spices, a touch of leather, a whiff of wilted violets and orange zest. A bit earthy & mineral, too though showing youthful freshness & energy.
Poised & very elegant on the palate with beautifully polished yet grilly tannins and juicy acidity. Layers of black fruit with wood shrimp seamlessly integrated. Nice volume & depth, terrific energy in the long finish. A classic Rioja reserva and the perfect wine for late fall.
Looking forward to tasting it over the next few years. — 14 days ago
Fylligt och mycket gott. Passade fint till stekt kyckling och ugnsrostade rotfrukter. — a month ago
See previous note from March 2022. Very dark Ruby in colour- impenetrable. Blackberry, smoky notes. A rich full bodied dense palate with a tarry note. Dusty. Granular persistent tannins. Again, Thomas Matthew’s drinking window is way too early (to 2025). This wine will cruise to 2030 with ease. When you taste this wine you have a new appreciation of the allure of Tempranillo, in this case old vine Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero. Post Script: The next day - aniseed and a crushed ant note. — 19 days ago
Blend of Tempranillo (95%), Graciano (4%) and Mazuelo (1%). Deep violet(almost black) color. Interesting aromas of black cherry/plum, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, earth and tobacco. The palate features red and black berry/plum flavors with additional notes of mocha, mushrooms, dusty herbs, white pepper and orange peel. Firm tannins and a long and lingering finish. Medium-plus bodied and plush. Excellent aging potential. Thanking Keno for bringing this excellent example of a traditional and well made Rioja! — 4 days ago

Enjoyed this. Lots of raspberry and strawberry. Balanced tannins with bold sweetness. Full bodied. Would love to have again. — a month ago
