This 375 was a little funky at first but cleaned up a bit after 45 minutes or so. Burgundian nose features limestony gravelly notes, brambly underbrush, and dark cherry. In the mouth it’s a bit tight, with vibrant acids, but underneath that potential energy there’s dark cherry fruit and a pungently savory note. It keeps changing its nose and taste with every sniff and sip it seems. Fun, but hard to keep up with. And hard to tell where it’s going. — a month ago

Pop and pour. Much better than my previous btl. On the nose: soft rose, cranberry, strawberry leaf. On the palate: good acidity, good density, tomato leaf, wild strawberry, cranberry. Attenuated tannin. Actually pretty compelling, if still primary. — 4 months ago
