2007 At Ataula from their wine list $120). Aged 10 years before bottling. Big and young. Smooth but oak was not excessive. — 6 years ago
2001 on Dec 15, 2018 at BBR during pre-Christmas. Purchased from Vanessa at Pasta Works. Every bottle has been a wonderful expression of Spanna from Alto Piemonte. A tribute to those who winemakers who never gave up. — 6 years ago
2012 at Nostrana on Jan 6, 2019. Glass pour after dinner. Precise and crisp. Would never have known that Chenin Blanc could taste like this. — 6 years ago

2016 on Dec 16, 2018 with pan roasted chicken and vegetables at BBR during pre-Christmas trip. What a revelation and introduction to yet another Local Italian grape that speaks of place. Grown on a promontory overlooking the Mediterranean. Purchased at Park Avenue Wines and imported by Kermit. — 6 years ago
2000 vintage on Feb 24, 2018 at Trifecta Tavern with Angela, Rachel and Michelle. Beautifully mature and integrated tannins with lovely fruit. Drinking at its peak. — 7 years ago
2014 at Nostrana for Sunday supper on Jan 6, 2019. Initially typical young Nebbiolo but after a short time decanting the tannins softened but the fruit was restrained. Not as complex as some Alto Piemonte. — 6 years ago
2015 Bought at Liner & Elsen and consumed in Dec 2018. Typical Rosenthal import. Small production, beautifully crafted wine expressive of place. Perfect aperitif or after dinner wine, which is my preference. — 6 years ago
2012 vintage on Feb 15, 2018. Needs or decanting. Has come together yet but will improve with a bit more time. Plenty of dark berry fruit. — 7 years ago

2002 on Jan 5, 2019 from Bob’s cellar. Took a bit of time to open up but kept getting better with time. Complex, subtle honey flavor with a hint of oxidation. What a pleasant surprise. — 6 years ago
