Lot's of oak but in a way that is reminiscent of expensive and high quality chardonnay. Very reductive with match stick and popcorn showing. It's already a few years old but I would love to see it in another 5+ #portugalwine #PortugueseWine #daowine

A little big and blousy in the nose at first as the oak overwhelms some but with air integrates a little more as the other character in the wine rises up. In great vintages the salty and minerality here remind me of Meursault but I don't think this vintage gets there. More like a village Beaune Blanc.

Dec 18th, 2015A blend of typical Douro white grapes from about 50 year old vines, including Gouveio, Viosinho, Codega do Larinho and Rabigato. Evolved beautifully, with oak notes, freshness and length, with just a touch of caramel. A savory acidity. A must try, for sure one of the best Douro white wine.

Aug 17th, 2014Beautifully aromatic, with ripe lemons, peach, apricot, a bit of red apple. Plus a healthy dose of salty minerality. Herby. Enticing.
Lovely fresh mouthfeel, bright acidity. Brilliant depth and such amazing tension. Salty, fresh, amazingly pure. What a lovely wine!
