Saumagen Pfalz Spätburgunder
Absolutely fantastic! Very Burgundian but with more weight. Ripe dark cherry, meaty with subtle spice. Very age worthy! Sadly, our last one..!Thank you @Lyle Fass

Jun 12th, 2014A Grosses Gewächs (grand cru) worthy of the designation. Mushroom and forest floor on the nose, black tart cherry on the palate. Mineral laden. Layered. Keeps getting better with air. Amazing

Sep 17th, 2022Wow, just wow. One of the best Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) that I’ve had in a long time. Amazingly complex nose - woodsy, brooding, almost teriyaki beef jerky (?!). One the palate juicy black cherries and spice. Really well done. I’m bummed that I only have one bottle left of this.
