Crazy burgundy kick. More restrained and oak lite than I thought. Pineapple cake sure but more herbal than anything. Finish is clean not obnoxious. Cool.

For the night I'd say this #chardonnay was average but a nice way to start a meal. #wine #burgundy

2009 - brilliant & precise - a whole lot of stuff here without being overblown. Just starting to blossom out at six years.

Absolutely brilliant stuff. Lemon, lime, stones, minerals -- it's all there. Drinking well yet will improve for years. Bravo performance from an only decent vintage

Full bodied with aromas of peach and the sea. Notes of crisp apple, oak, stone fruit, and spice.

I keep finding the Girardin style to be very restrained which I can very much appreciate and all the right character is there but I just feel like there is a magic in going over the top that I just never find here. I did enjoy this quite a bit but I would be hunting for a different producer in Folatieres. What can be done at the site that I have seen is remarkable. Not docking this for being on point though.
