The 2012 Coeur de Cuvée is magnificent. In this vintage Laurent Champs balances the natural intensity of the year with tremendous energy and vibrancy, making for a Champagne of remarkable beauty. Like all the Vilmart wines, the 2012 Coeur de Cuvée is super-refined. Even so, it is also incredibly tight and nowhere near ready. I find its depth, power and tension absolutely compelling. Bright saline notes, spice and floral accents extend the eternal finish. The 2012 is 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. Disgorged: February 2019. Don't miss it! (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2020)

Secondary notes coming through with a whiff of sherry then lemon, some sweetness. There’s lovely balance and complexity in the mid palate and a sophisticated finish. A good time to drink this.

Vibrant golden yellow color

👃Apples:very ripe and bruised as well.
Biscuit, butter, lanolin, honey, & florals. Bold & elegant

👅Quite vinous champagne. Enough substance, backbone, & flavor to deliver a great drink. Fruit from start to the long finish: Apples, lemon, orange liquer, & pastry

Great with an aged gouda and a robusto 🧀

Solid performer at 22 years from a champagne vintage without laurels. Bravo! 🥂🍾

Super creamy and very refined champagne. Light on the tongue and paired surprisingly well with a wagyu strip steak, balancing the fat.

Phenomenal bottle, forget lemon rind, brioche here enough to make this lemon tart. Lightning in a bottle. What year again??

First bottle was slightly corked. The second bottle was outstanding. Lemon curd, tart.

wow. Wow. Wow. Stunning. Thick yet not heavy lime, lemon, pear, intertwined with minerals and lifted by perfectly integrated acidity. Leads with the lime, just beautiful wine. The texture and depth are impressive. I’ve been drinking 3 or 4 champagnes a week the past many weeks and this one leads the pack. Wow.

Tangerine oil, lemon peel, and roasted almond notes in a wine with great depth and character. This winner is young and in need of more cellarage. Outstanding potential!
