A Garagiste winner, best non-Classico in my experience. 4th bottle just as good or better than the first. Not a wine to age much more, this is great right now. The nose and palate show flowers, medium red fruits, good acidity and fine but firm tannins, solid Sangiovese.

Dusty tannins and dried strawberries / cranberries (like the ones at a spa) - held up over 3 days - good value

Profound nose of herbs, wood and dense fruit. Out of magnum, this wine is drinking now.

A bit of funk eventually blows off, woodsy cedar notes with red fruits, supple and fine tannins, in the midst of maturity so drink up. #chianticlassico #sangiovese

Who ever says they don't like Chianti have not had the good stuff, like this one. Classic in nose and palate, sweet and sour cherries, tobacco, fresh flowers and orange peel. The palate is fresh and generous, with a clean and long finish with bright acidity.

Showing some maturity, a tad bit of heat but there is a plethora of fruit to dampen the 14%abv. Cherry, black tea, leather and spice round this out nicely on the nose and palate.

Remarkably mellow and easy to drink for an Italian red. At $12 on sale, there are few this side of $15 that can compete.

Deep garnet, with rim gradation befitting 10 years of age. Attractive nose of herbs, softened tannins. Palate is cherry jam, a bit of cedar. Smooth and integrated, but lacking in finish. Peters out unmemorably. Very nice, but drink up.

Acid on front. Seems thin. Herbs. Some cranberry. Better after opening up.
