Deep Ruby red color, aromas of berry fruit and herb spice. On the palate flavors of tart cherry and blackberry, savory with tobacco and cacao notes. Dusty tannins, medium finish ending savory with fruit and herb mineral spice.

Soft tannins, subtle fruit/spice. Easy going.

Vintage 2012 - a bit old fashioned farmerstyle wine with the smell of a cedar cigarbox and stable, roundness in taste. Real sangiovese smell, so true to type. Paired it with a stew from the oven.

Medium ruby in color; cherries, cedar, and plums on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like tomato leaf, strawberry jam, clovs, and raspberries with a long finish. Nellie doesn't like it, but I think it's really good. Lots of red fruit flavor from the Sangiovese and rounded out by 10% Merlot.

Bought this for my ragu sauce. I have had other vintages. Easy fruit forward bottle that is really nice for $13.

Not for me - very low tannins, taste of merlot covers all other nuances of the wine.

Nose: farmy. Yeast, barnyard, earth, hay, clay, minerals. Blueberry. Palate: soft, smooth, more than expected, nicely put together. I like this. 90. Good value @$13!
