Historic spanish Grenache

A new wine for me from Telmo, this was reminiscent of the As Caborcas but with more more red fruit and less acidity, bigger texturally in viscosity. #telmo

Nice work Telmo. Very Castilla! Meaty, classic and earthy, warm. Loved it. A classic.

Personally, this seems underrated by the Delectable community. I’m a fan.

I had a hard time believing this was a Granoche. The flavors I come associate with that of an earthy and or beige us and somewhat forest floor kind of floral in nature. This was Jamie and hot and violets in the sun and everything like that. Very surprising but kind of makes sense coming from such a warm area. Good and expressive flavors, opened well, could’ve use a bit more structure but overall a very delicious wine.

Outstanding. Took a while to open up. Great finish.

Hour 1: blah
Hour4 : muuuch better. Acrid note is gone, fruit has decided to show up, bitter dust has mellowed
Day 2: solid, completely different from previous day. Dark fruits, leather, still lighter than expected.

Sucks that you have to open it for 24 hours to get to the good version.
