Barbera d'Alba

Wonderful nose of licorice and dark fruit, framed nicely by a lush earthiness. A bit less impressive on the palate though, finishing slightly shorter than I would have liked. Refreshing and easy drinking.

Opened 3 days ago, but I could finally smell it today: first post Covid wine +1 for that...the acidity felt great.

Juicy red fruit but well balanced. Remiscient of a merlot.

A wonderful wine, esp for the price.
