Nervo Barbaresco Nebbiolo

Aging into something more dominated by baking spices as opposed to tertiary red fruit. Not as good as previous bottle.

Pours pretty mature ruby with a dusky dried rose edge.
Initial nose is blueberries, bay leaf, myrtle. In a pretty happy place re balance.
With 6 hours of air shows a tiger balm/fernet type of herbal complexity. I preferred it pop and pour but appreciate both expressions.

Tasted blind .. thought it was a 2016 it was still so fresh and young. Popped and poured, beautiful nose of candied cherries, plums. Earthiness and a touch of herbs and mint. On the palate still real tight with plenty of grip! #rizzi #barbaresco (will try after one day open)

Wow. So pretty - like Pinot noir and Nebbiolo all at once

Almost too tannic to drink without food. Needs at least 5-6 years. (Glad I have a few more bottles though.)

Approachable young barbaresco - dried flowers, cherry and tar

Lovely young Barbaresco with sausage sandwiches. (Drunk with Scott and Ryan)

Still tannic but very fresh. Lovely wine.

Beautifully expressive fruit, complimented by earth and tar. Light and elegant, but vibrant with balanced tannins.

Tannins still a bit strong but red fruits and tar are lovely
