Beautifully aged aromas of petrol, exotic spices, orange peel, and dried mango overlaying honeyed orchard fruits and that classic, unmistakable Mosel slate. Layers unfold as the wine slightly warms in the glass, adding floral notes to the bouquet. Outstanding, lengthy finish.

Fantastic acidity, loads of peppery spice, deeply fruited core, pineapple-mango-passionfruit sherbet, orangepeel shavings. Dense and concentrated, almost BA in style.
Very impressive.

Just perfect accompaniment for a big chunk of foie.

1998 Auslese Goldkapsule. Great balance and texture. The most pleasant acidity I've had in Rieslings — pronounced, pure, elegant, but not overwhelming. This is pretty much honeycomb served from the rubber hose with a golden capsule on the end.
