Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc

Ripe Sancerre. Passionfruit. Fuller and less nervy than I’d expect. Climate change is having an influence on these wines. 14.1% alc. Delicious none the less.

Notes from 24 hrs open in the fridge. On the nose: soft gooseberry, grass and a touch of smoke...slightly washed out/diluted. On the palate: ok acidity, good density, and maybe a touch oily with some heat on the finish. I think I prefer my sancerre more energetic/mineral.

Lemon and grass with balanced minerality. High acid. Easily pairs with lettuces, chicken or tuna.

Lovely with Dungeness crab on a Tim’s potato chip.

Clean and grassy.
