Cork disintegrated but this Dao is exceptional. Totally resolved, with nicely ripe fruit mingling with secondary and tertiary leather and dusty gravel notes. Velvety textured. Acids balanced. It could actually hold a few more years.

I may have gotten the vintage wrong but what a beautiful Portuguese surprise-started off like a lighter hybrid beast of Ribero & Rioja. Morphs into its own creature, red fruits & plenty of depth, I taste barrel aging ( it may have been a 2010). All out balance. Impressive, 32$.

Really interesting wine. First impressions are that it’s heavy and earthy; but with time gives way to floral and bright fruit notes. @garagiste purchase - glad I have a few more bottles to explore.

Youthful. Medium to full. Nice balance with good tannins.

Aged into a round profile. Spicy. Tobacco. Leather. Tannins still provide a nice kick.

At 13 years in a really nice spot. Great price point. Thanks #garagiste

Aging very well! Tobacco, cigar box, leather, cedar, BlackBerry, and plum. Still has several more years ahead of it. Tannins are still prominent. Very rustic old world style wine.

Big & brooding, hardly flashy. Meaty & savory with generously ripe fruits that don't verge into jam. Full-bodied but smartly balanced.
