Amazing nose. Evolved with layer after layer of complexity. Lingering mid-palette. Tannins and mellowed to a smooth finish.

The 2007 Quilceda Creek ‘Galitzine Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon is showing marvelously at more than a decade old. On the nose this shows copious dark fruits with graphite and creme de cassis aromatics that continue to build in the glass. The palate shows a seducyitve side with moderate tannins that round out following a two hour decant. Blackberry compote, mocha, sandalwood and chocolate covered cherry flavors all combine nicely. A stunning wine now, this will continue to show well for at least another decade. Drink 2019-2019- 96

I think this can climb another point or two, but it will take another 5-7yrs. The potential is there but this is just not ready (for my taste). Aromatically, it’s open for business. Intoxicating notes of currant, cassis, mixed blue and black fruits, sandalwood, and espresso. Built like an absolute tank on the palate with chalky and chewy tannins. Red fruit starts to appear here with some graphite, fig, vanilla pope tobacco and baked black cherries. Quality is undeniable. Thanks @Bill Makens .

Red berries, ripe plum. Cassis. M/m+ tannin. M+ body. Polished, classy and balanced. Lots of black fruit on the palate. Will age beautifully.

While QC rarely win any medals for subtlety or balance I still quite enjoy them.
To my palate this is in a good spot now and I don't see a point in cellar it further.

Well balanced fruit from a single source. Unlike the top offering this wine possesses a unique linear focus. Ripe black cherry, current and full silky smooth tannins. Excellent effort for a family that won't offer anything to the consumer that isn't of their highest quality.

2011 was a tough year, but Quilceda Creekvlade the best of it. Probably a bit early to be drinking this, seems tight and somewhat shallow even after defending, but after 2 hours of air, I taste the depth and quality of this wine. Deep dark fruit grips your tongue on the first sip and doesn't let go. I honestly can't speak to the nose because it is buttoned up and I just smell dinner. Fig, plum, and blackberry are all over this o the palette though. Sit on it until 2020... That's my advice.
