Purple in color with a wide purplish rim.

Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, light oak, vanilla, earth, spices, licorice, herbs and peppercorn.

Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a tasty Bordeaux blend from Tuscany. Elegant and spicy.

Still young and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine. Will also pair nicely with dried meats.

A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 15% Petit Verdot. Aged in oak barrels for 14 months.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$50.

Drinking well now, but shows loads of promise in the next couple of years. Mostly black currant and plum with a slight dusty undertone. Tannins are ripping.

Another Wednesday Wine Committee in the books. Great hosting by @Bill Makens . 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine all served blind.

Last time I had this, it was about two and a half years ago and I thought it was killer...my mind hasn’t changed! I never see this stuff. Beautiful super Tuscan. Dusty and herbal up front with earthy blackberries, cherries and espresso followed by fig, black cherry compote and cedar at the finish. Still in a great drinking window. I called this late ‘00s/2010 Sonoma Cab.

Really pretty wine that is definitely best served on the cool side. Great structure with tannins that grip the palate. Crushed roses, red fruit meld together for delicious drinking in the near term.

2015 vintage., Maybe the best ever? Blueberries and a touch of graphite. Profound, dense and elegant, needs a lot of time.

Sage, nutmeg, allspice, black currant, smoked blackberry and blackened plum with shimmering basalt, cedar and vintage tobacco. Medium mouthfeel with refined tannins, a blood-like iron taste, rich, black cherry and dried cranberry with a gritty, earthen coat. A sprinkle of graphite and nettle in a cedar box. #poderesapaio #bolgheri #italianredwine #rosso #thanksgivingwine #thanksgivingindulgence #thanksgiving

Blind, stumped me, though I knew it was Cabernet-based. Delicious. Savory and rich without being ponderous. Perfect time in the bottle for an early peak.

With Jimmy, Jenna, Jeanne, Jayne and Jeff at Home Port. Have to have a name that starts with a J. Excellent 15–spicy and smooth at the same time.
