1972! Damn was this good. Pure and honeyed aromas and layers of creamy tropical vanilla flavors.

Last night in Budapest - tokaji aszu fits the bill! Utterly refreshing opener with a treacly core, fantastic acidity. Orange zest, botrytis, honeysuckle, quince. Maturing with miles to go.

I don’t know how to describe this. It had that apricot flavor of a good Sauternes but the rest of it… Burnt orange peel? A bit of mulled wine? It’s my first time having this wine that I can remember and wow what an impression
