After a long drive from out of town let’s begin the evening! A very nice Albariño, I’ve rated this one before.

A refreshing and complex Albariño with aromas and flavors of quince, papaya, peach, pear, and golden apple. Super elegant!

2010 vintage

Sipping Fine Wine

The Martín Códax Winery was founded in 1986 by a group of winegrowers in Cambados, the capital of the Salnés Valle. All grapes are sourced from their own vineyards. Nice light straw yellow color with aromas of white flesh fruit and floral scents. On the palate apple, peach, pear and lemon zest, some light spice with vivid acidity. The finish displays the minerality on a lingering ending. Crisp and fresh. Very nice! Tasting Sample.

All the aromatic quality of a typical Albariño but with the added creamy mouthfeel of lees aging.

Good but not as good as other Albarinos I’ve had.
