M. & C. Lapierre à Villié-Morgon
Morgon Gamay
Barely a 9.0. Perfectly pleasant Morgon but for $40, I could buy far better red wine.

May 1st, 2023A merry #morgon Christmas! Juicy cranberry, raspberry and grape with a hint of savory soy. Edges a little rough but very easy going down. First Lapierre, not sure if I “get” the hype yet…

Dec 25th, 2021The “n” (non-sulfur) version. Black cherry, pomegranate, rose, slightly wild, lots of upside 🔥

Oct 26th, 2021Nice wine - but even with a 3 hour decant, doesn’t quite come together as well as previous vintages - doesn’t have the purity or chisel or seamlessness that would take it to the next level. Still has great fruit and a very nice finish.

Aug 21st, 2021Deep, juicy and electric. Had this wine for the last 5 years and just love this vintage.

Jul 6th, 2021Consistently finding these a bit thin and bland, especially when compared to something like Jean Foillard that I can also get at a lower price.
