Deep Ruby with aromas of blue and red fruits with floral spice. On the palate, plum, blackberry and raspberry flavors with notes of licorice, vanilla and toasty oak. Medium+ finish, fine tannins ending with smoky oak and spicy fruit character.

Deep Ruby with purple edges, aromas of red and black fruit with floral spice notes. On the palate rich ripe blackberry and plum with pepper spice and oak notes. Good balance, big ripe tannins, long finish ending with spicy zest. Better an hour after opening.

Drinking well. Dark fruits, blackberry, plum. A creaminess to it. Nice.

Laura Catena, 4th gen winemaker, grew up in Argentine-Italian winemaking family in Mendoza. Wines, named after her children - Luca, Dante & Nicola - background of the label is the McDermott coat of arms of her American husband, Daniel McDermott. Single-vineyard wine from land belonging to the Laborde family. Deep red with big ripe fruits & smoky oak. Palate plum & jammy blackberry, spicier than ‘13, with nice earthy character. Tannins are a bit rustic, lingering ending with toasty oak & spice. Very nice.

Big powerful wine. Exactly why Argentine wines are world reknown. Could use some cellaring.

Superb #Malbec. This #wine opens fuming with big berries and white pepper opening up to more brambly fruit, heavier pepper and showing some savory components. Clean, blackberry with seeds, stemy. Food worthy, suggesting heavier meats. Opened 12/3/17

Peanut shells, leather, cedar, barnyard, hay. Well-balanced, velvety mouthfeel. Blueberry, cocoa, espresso, hay, and finishes floral.

Not something I would recommend. Came across this as I was entering all my cellar into cellartracker. Maybe I don't know what to expect from Malbec? Dark color, can't place the nose, primary grape flavor, no complexity. Nicest thing I can say is the bottle is heavy!
Lowest I have scored a wine, moving on to a backup

I'm not the greatest fan of Malbec, but this one won me over.
