Nice Syrah. Kind of rare to try one from Argentina.

Medium ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of black fruit, dried herbs, earth, forest floor, subtle vanilla; dry, medium plus acid, medium ripe tannins, medium alcohol, medium plus body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium finish, tart at the tail

Laura Catena, 4th gen winemaker, grew up in Argentine-Italian winemaking family in Mendoza. Wines, named after her children - Luca, Dante & Nicola - background of the label is the McDermott coat of arms of her American husband, Daniel McDermott. Single-vineyard wine from land belonging to the Laborde family. Deep Ruby with ripe fruits & smoky oak. Palate plum & jammy blackberry, plenty of spice with nice earthy character. Tannins are a bit rustic, long ending with toasty oak & spice. Very nice.

Deep Rich inky color - jammy and ripe but good acidic backbone

Deep and dark cherry. Explosion of fruit on the nose and palate. Not as syrupy or spicy as I expected. Again, not sure where they get the 93 score from, but it's a good wine.
