The venerable Jadot winery was established in 1859, but the family was digging around in the Burgundy soil a good 30 years before that. His Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay is ubiquitous. I'm convinced some people think Jadot is French for Chardonnay.
Nose and palate, this unoaked full Chardonnay is loaded with apples and peaches, sweet and ripe. The freshness is a zippy delight and cries for oysters or shrimp. Minerals are plentiful, and the finish shows a citrus edge.

This wine is one of the best values for a high quality white burgundy from the 2013 vintage ($10.95 at LA Wine Co in Culver City). Crisp, clean and refreshing!

Chalk, oysters, and dried flowers. Wine is pretty much muted and offers little aromas. Mouthfeel is still fresh and slightly acidic.

Lemons pears a flash of minerality a hint of maybe some butter? A bit of seashell. Like it much. I wanted to just say “like it” because maybe I’m not supposed to enjoy supermarket Chard that much but this delivers yayyyy

From the Maconnais region of Burgundy, its predictably high-quality, 100% Chardonnay, vinified without the use of oak. Clean and lean, the citrus and mineral notes come through vividly. Refreshing acidity, only 13% abv. Drink up.

Light straw with stone and tropical fruit aromas. On the palate crisp apple with lemon citrus notes. This medium-body wine was smooth and a mineral touch with overall good balance. The wine finishes with a savory touch on a mid-length ending. Consistent quality.

Pretty wine. Floral, Apple, citrus, crushed rock, hint of herbs and nice acidity. Went great with seared scallops and salmon. Great value.
