Louis Jadot
Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay
Medium lemon color with fresh fruit aromas of stone and citrus fruits with some floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, lime citrus and pear, lively acidity, with flinty notes. Medium finish, ending with notes of fruit, citrus and mineral spice character. Drink now!

Oct 4th, 2017The venerable Jadot winery was established in 1859, but the family was digging around in the Burgundy soil a good 30 years before that. His Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay is ubiquitous. I'm convinced some people think Jadot is French for Chardonnay.
Nose and palate, this unoaked full Chardonnay is loaded with apples and peaches, sweet and ripe. The freshness is a zippy delight and cries for oysters or shrimp. Minerals are plentiful, and the finish shows a citrus edge.
