Avni Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

For the price point , this is a very cool PN, easy to drink

I don’t remember what I paid for this but it was not that expensive. Definitely not a pushover. Plenty of structure. Strawberry and cranberry along with some earth and forest decay.

2016 vintage.
Dark red cherry core..with earthiness in the back behind the fruit.
Well developed.
Dark cherry and raspberry with cinnamon and medium plus acidity.
Acidity is there but because it’s so well integrated with the wine it is gentle with the fruit.
When puzzle pieces fit perfectly together…this is the result.
We grilled whole Sockeye Salmon on the BBQ with this wine.
That’s why we live here.

Loved this guy. Great Thanksgiving wine. The big fruit of a warm year - strawberry jam - but also some of the Burgundian subtle notes.

Really nice. Cranberries, funky forest, baked blueberry cobbler, some acidity. Really great with food.

Light body, present tannins, bright cranberry and rose aromas, fades quickly with a relatively short finish. Fine, closer to California than Burgundy in style.
