Lovely sappy fruit. Very charming. Fairly complex, young and exuberant. There is a certain charm and beauty to it. I don’t feel that the Kosta Browne entry level wines warrant the hype or the absurd price point, but this is obviously well-made and broadly appealing. A pleasure to taste.

Had this with a William Selyem. Side by side, KB was bold and dense with deep plum and blueberry overtones. Still very young, but tasty.

Following a Great William Selyem Pinot this Kosta Pinot Noir is a mouthful. Big full rich, it needed a good 45 minutes to open up . Plum and black fruits dominate the first glass. Kosta Brown does it again with this Sonoma bottling . Wow!

I absolutely loved this wine. Friend was a wine club member. Seemed pretty limited. Have never found this anywhere. Paired with a steak this blew my pallet away.

Smokey, spices and laced with a layer of new oak. As it opened up with a few hours of breathing the alcohol leveled off and the fruits (mostly raspberry, cranberry, red cherries) and some cola came thru nicely!

The complexity, above all else. I can tell you all about everything else but the finish is why you pay that price for Kosta.

Kosta is one of our favorite Pinots. The 2008 has progressed well. Still very nice fruit and depth. Excellent wine.
