Feb 22nd, 2023My first xinomavro. It’s good. Needs to grow on me a bit because the flavour is unlike anything I’ve had before. Need to try to this again from a different producer before I judge.

Robe rubis très pâle. Un nez de fleurs, épices (cannelle) et des fraises. C'est intéressant. Mais ça se gâte en bouche, c'est mince, peu de saveurs. La finale est rêche et asséchante par un alcool légèrement volatile.

Jul 1st, 2024A fairly large producer by Greek standards. This appellational Naoussa wine is light, earthy with cranberries, rose hip, plums tar and some cured meats. Not quite as aromatic as other Xinomavro examples out there. Good value.

Mar 9th, 2024Full bodied wine with a great up-front blend of dark currant and dirt. The middle is a little rushed as the fruit notes clear, but it finishes strong as the leathery tannins emerge.
