Domaine Weinbach
Alsace AOC Riesling
Always a classic. The amount that this over delivers for an entry level cuvée is stupid.

Dec 12th, 2023Pale lemon with pronounced stone fruit and citrus aromas with floral blossoms. On the palate flavors of apricot, ripe apple and lime citrus with vivid acidity, minerality and spice. Medium finish ending dry with fresh fruit and smoky mineral notes.

Aug 8th, 2015A lovely wine with all the compliments of Alsace. 2013 vintage. Dry, Full body, medium+ acidity. Pronounced flavor intensity of stone fruit (apricot skin, yellow peaches) lime blossom with a solid structure and medium finish.

Jul 9th, 2015Second time I try Weinbach. It’s remarkable though not my style. Lots and lots of weight and concentration down to the high intensity medium gold color. Lots of florals, honey note, viscous on the palate with a touch of textural phenolics. The acidity stands up to the texture but doesn’t shine. Would have a hard time calling it Riesling but a really easy time calling it Alsace

Feb 10th, 2022Medium lemon-gold. Fairy viscous. Heavy florals, preserved lemon, apple, lime, tropical fruits, some stoniness. Full bodied. Surprisingly short finish.
