Crozes-Hermitage Syrah

Eucalyptus, plums, black pepper. Loads of structure.

First time trying this. Gorgeous nose. Mint, berries, such pure Syrah fruit, really nice. Palate is deep and pure. Sappy and juicy. Really clean. Granite, minerals. Balance is great. Sneaky length. Great stuff. 2015 Crozes is awesome.

A little too stemmy and rustic for my taste.

Vintage 2006 - Blind tasted, reminded me of a good Burgundy. Very nice matured.

Superb

Good stuff - bright, minerality, and savory with pepper notes and smoked meat. Some dark fruit, but this is a bright savory version of Syrah.

Still broodingly tannic after being open for 12 hours.

Still searching for a crozes-hermitage that I’m quite impressed with. This is certainly quite earthy and expresses well overall, but in general leaves something to be desired.

Clear med+ intensity purple. Aromas Apple black pepper dirt and nail polish. Dry med acid, med+ tannins high alcohol, med+ body, plum, black pepper olive. Very spicy

More balanced than 2015 at this time. White pepper and minerals. Drink while you wait for the 2015s.
