Double decanted and still tight!

Open for 1. 5 hours and drank over 5 to allow it to get optimal air time.
A lot of the time Burgundy can be like roulette, hit or miss and fraught with major disappointment. This one is a winner and shows a lot about what I love about great wines from #Burgundy. #grandcru #closvougeot #grivot
Aromas of funky high toned opulent and floral red fruits, earth and spice. The palate is perfectly silky with a structural grain on the finish. There is plenty of time to sit on this, it will only get better as their is plenty of fruit, acidity and tannin for this to mature into a further distinguished Grand Cru Vougeot.

Yummy already. Needs quite a bit more time to be expected, but after a few hrs it starting showing much better. Should turn into a terrific btl of wine.

Perfectly mature Pinot Noir with soft tannins in tact, lots of cherry, velvet palate.

Delicious. Excellent aromatics. You tell there is stem inclusion here. Double decanted 5 hours before tasting.

Funky insecticide and white pepper on the nose, a bit green on the palate. With air, the stems continued to dominate but with more intense menthol, a little less insecticide, and more pepper on the palate. I'm pretty tolerant of a lot of stem character, but this (and some other 2008 Grivots I've had) are just too much.
