Dark yellow with a tawny touch - almost bronze. Oxidative, fortified like notes on the nose with a honeyed peachy like note which came out with aeration. Could’ve been a white that needed decanting. An off dry style. The drinking window is to 2028 or 2032 by two different experts. Not sure how oxidative it will have become by then. Expected more from a Huet Chenin - faulty bottle? PS From 375 ml bottle.

Love the demi-sec style—paired beautifully with a fresh produce-forward dinner. Lots of peach and apricot, honey, pronounced lime pith, fresh flowers and grass, and plentiful acid, stone and a sort of savory bitterness that balances the RS

One of my older wines. 2002. Opened up a little oxidized, but weirdly that seems to have blown off. Gorgeous dark color, I wish I could tan like this wine. Honeysuckle. Melon. Great acidity. These are brilliant wines.

Maybe I should have drunk this '07 earlier or later? Deep gold with a slightly ruddy/brown tinge. Noticably sweet but no botrytis signature that I could detect. Nose is fully mature with bruised apple, quince fruit notes. It seemed a bit simple, so not sure if this bottle was a bit oxygen touched or needed more time.

Medium lemon color with aromas of fresh tropical fruits, citrus and honey nuts. On the palate flavors of peach and pineapple with lime citrus, lively acidity, good balance with fruit and a touch of sweetness on the medium off-dry finish.

A summer day with friends spent near Red Hook, NY, harvesting the great bounty there. I forgot to snap a photo of bottle so had to rely on Delectable. This Huet Is generous young, given its rs I imagine. All about texture & balance, & that precision chenin blanc flavor ( as opposed to a broader profile with Chenins lower on totem pole). Enjoyed with roasted Sashito peppers, local sausage to start, then local beef burgers & rock fish cooked ‘en papillot’ w a cayenne butter sauce. Then off for a few swims in the local lake.

A beautiful study in balance. Indulgent tropical fruits and sharp, clarifying acid.

Definitely a bit too young, but a great match with grilled trout, brussel/graoe/cranberry side c/o @Javier Baquero at Fish by Jose Andres.
