Disappointing. Very concentrated and precise in the mouth. Excellent structure and minerality. But a muted aroma and inflection of flavor, which I assume is brett.

Took all evening to come around. Like many Faiveley wines of this era, it's reticent. Given its evolution in the glass, I'm optimistic that it will evolve positively.

All that I adore in a great Red #Burgundy #pinotnoir
Deep Burgundy red in color, the nose is elegantly dense, with a sous bois, savory braised beef, wet earth, bing cherries, all pulsating with energy and life, with just a hint of tertiary. The palate shows it's one flaw, the chewy and slightly gritty tannin. Otherwise the acidity and flavors are on point, the length and energy are classic+.

Perfect maturity..... can probably still age a bit, although I’m not sure it would get materially better. Took a bit of time to open fully, but the wait was well worth it. Red fruits of course, dry tannins in the background. Lovely.
