I wish could drink these more often but even in a suboptimal year, older Dujac is delicious. Plenty of red fruit, Asian spice and herbs; was refined and addictive to consume.

One of my absolute favorite vintages for Burgundy, and an especially great one for the Domaine. This outstanding 02 Echezeaux stuns with its intoxicating bouquet of sweet red fruit, Asian spice, stems and violets. It’s precise and focused and there is an incredible purity of fruit to the vintage along with seamlessly balanced acidity. Fantastic now, but destined for a long life.

The first of the reds at the Grand Cru Burgundy Dinner Heady aromas of plum and violets with a high percentage of whole bunch, around 85 to 100 percent apparently. - more fruit driven though, before the Sous Bois characters develop with a few more years. Ramon, the importer, said 12 bottles came into Australia and 4 bottles consumed at this dinner. Red fruits on the medium weight spicy palate - 70% new oak. Close to my WOTN. Interestingly Negociants the importer are also the sole importers of DRC into Australia and Ramon said they get much more DRC Echezeaux than Dujac Echezeaux.

Up there with the best of what Burgundy offers. A delicious combination of supple fruit, elegant soft tannins and gentle acidity. Perfectly balanced, as nothing stands out as being out out of place, while still suggesting there is plenty of life left here.

Probably the most generous wine of the day. Great purity, exotic spice. An archetype Dujac.
