This is Sauvignon Blanc. Quince, hay, lemon, great minerality and bright acid.

Lean aromatic spot of light, clean, almost frosted lemon, lime juice, lime pith, and gooseberry aromas. Chalky. With zippy, bright lemon zest, nectarine, dried starfruit, green-white underripe blackberries, black currant leaf, and grapefruit pith. Amazing Sancerre with buoyancy and ethereal grace.

More chalk, less flint. Herbal component dominating the fruit. But very strong, honest effort from organically farmed vineyards.

A crisp style with a rounded profile making for an easy-to-like Sauvignon Blanc. The 2020 Sancerre Chavignol is a blend of around 40 blocks and features aromas of gooseberry, citrus and boxwood. It might not be the most complicated or the most concentrated Sancerre, but it offers texture, aromatics and freshness. Well-made, balanced and approachable from the off. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, August 2021)

Bright and crisp- mainly driven by minerality and flintiness rather than fruit, would drink again :)
