Nov 2nd, 2016A light ruby core fading out to salmon with med - concentration. The nose was quite fragrant with med intensity and almost med + complexity driven by sweet red fruits, spice, and flowers. Unfortunately the palate was not inline with the nose. The structure was firm and austere creating a drying sensation throughout the mouth. There was little fruit or complexity to help balance the structure. Brioche, pineapple, peaches and a hint of vanilla followed with a pineapple core. Soft palate - good richness with a crisp snap on the end.

More reductive than expected but opened up and plenty of apple, honey and spice. Faded a bit over a few hours.

A touch of reduction early then opens up slowly with a very crisp palate balanced with some nice richness and volume, nice.
Reduction un peu, tendu mais avec une certaine rondeur et une touche de richesse. Très bien. 89-90

Slight reduction and sulfur on the nose to eventually fo to lime, lemon, melon and a touch of smoke. Palate is much better, straight, very crisp, nice length for the level. 89-90

As always, very nice. Light tension and slightly mineral but with more volume and richness then other vintages, still fairly balanced and better on day 2. 89-90
