From the oldest vines in Clos de la Roilette, the “Cuvée Tardive” is a special example of Fleurie. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Consistent throughout, though it seemed to be a touch more balanced on Day 2. The 2022 “Cuvée Tardive” pours a deep ruby, with a slightly purple tinge and a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of black cherry, pomegranate, black plum, red carnations, lavender pastilles, licorice, incense, and granite. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finishes medium+. Ripe and yet remains so fresh! Drink now through 2037.

Vintage 2019 | very good concentration, curious how the wine will develop

Good, solid Bojo. Lots of granite-laced plummy fruit. A little cherry and spice too. Good flavor intensity. Acids a bit low. But nice crunch from the minerality. A noticeable amount of tannin too.

Transparent crimson. Pretty stable funk makes things interesting, blows off quickly. Pure and more red than purple-fruited. Nice anise spice on the nose. Really rocking on night 2. Sweet and bright.

Opened too soon, thinking it was the regular Fleurie - labels are too similar. But showing well

Just needed 3/4 years after release to shed some of that extra meat locker taste to it. Raspberry, dark cherry, Asian spices, bacon fat. Better with food.

Not ready. Maybe in 3 years the tannins will integrate, but right now it’s not drinking like a bojo. Reminds me of the ‘15 vintage.
