Vintage 2015 | popped and poured by bbq | Lovely! A point. Velvety structure, tobacco, vanilla, spicyness, but the structure wins you over for the wine. Love Margaux preciseness.

2005 holding up well. Morel, shiitake, crimini, and baked plum, with baked grape for good measure, poppy blossom, squash bread, baked squash blossoms, and bresaola. Rich palate with firm tannin shows oolong, strong graphite core, nutmeg, fine Connecticut tobacco, pepper, dill, and a touch of anise. Bold for its age, and vibrant. Fruits emerge on a long finish; dusty cherry and cocoa, dried black currant, powdered blackberry and cassis.

Vintage 2015 interesting to taste this young, way too young. Tannic, very serious taste, this is going to be a nice wine to enjoy with 6 or 7 years. It is rich. Margaux for the cellar. / after 24 h aeration: laurel, plums, pencil shaving recognisable in smell, taste still tannic / after 36 H with tenderloin paksoi and oystersauce it’s terrific, great balance and some chocolate tones, it’s a dinner and luncheonwine for sure

I gave it some time out of the bottle which would lead to more plummy notes, more ripe and also almost raw pear, interestingly, and a hints more of baking spice. The tannins were perfect from the top. As was the alcohol level. And body. So inoffensive in every way. Other than that unremarkable but right in line with what I paid for a magnum. Fucking simple but also totally delicious and so swillable with stuffing and cranberry which is all I need. For the price I’d try again for a dinner of tastiness that I don’t need to think too much about.

Mostly closed, with interesting bitter dark chocolate notes but lacks some backbone.

Wow, that is fantastic for the price. Nose is full of high-toned red berry fruit - cranberries, cherries, red floral aromas. A whif of cedar lingering. Palate is delicious with that same crunchy red fruit, cedar, soft but present tannins that coat the mouth and then melt away. Touch of earth on the finish. This is a wonderful Margaux for the Bordeaux lover who doesn’t want to wait.

A very young wine. I see tons of potential. It's well balance with fruit, tannins, and acidity! I'm ready to taste it again in 2025

2020 vintage. Nearly always an excellent value BDX. Problem is that it is priced so fairly, gets snapped up über-quickly. Fruit, structure, balance along with medium body. Pop and pour now or in a decade. 3.6.24.
