On the palate flavors of blackberry, currant and cherry, with cedar and tobacco notes. Firm grainy tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral notes.

Fruit forward and showing cassis, juicy blackberry, kirsch, some new leather, some dark wood. Nice weight in the middle of the palate. Some length, as well.

Quite young so it’s still very vibrant and fruit forward. Very enjoyable now but would like to re-visit in a few years.

Aug 22nd, 2018Nice Margaux - elegant and structured, with expressive fruit. Nose of flowers, mint, and plummy dark fruits. Spice plays a supporting role here, with the oak just bringing everything together.

Found at a local wine store. Very nice comportment overall. Maybe what I paired with it, but was tasty but not memorable.
