I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Tonight I have opened a beautiful 2011 Catherine & Pierre Breton Beaumont Chinon Cabernet Franc.

On the nose there is nice fruit strawberry, cherry, raspberry, green bell pepper, roasted red pepper, herbs and wet gravel.

On the palate the red fruit continues with strawberry, cherry, raspberry, green bell pepper, tomato, herbaceous and crushed gravel.

This wine is medium to full bodied that has a smooth fresh mouthfeel, medium to medium + acidity and med to medium + fine mouthcoating tannins that leaves you with a medium+ to long red fruit graphite finish. I am loving this Cab. Franc and is making this weekend more enjoyable. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

This weekend couldn't come any quicker and I'm going to the Loire for some serious Cabernet Franc. The 2011 Catherine & Pierre Breton Chinon Beaumont Cabernet Franc is the real deal.

On the nose there is beautiful red fruit, strawberry, raspberry compote, herbs, spice, violets and wet gravel.

On the palate the red fruit continues with strawberry, raspberry, cherries and even though the red fruit is ever present my green bell pepper hits you with all its goodness and finishes with a spice and crushed gravel.

This wine is medium to full bodied with racy medium + electric acidity and trippy medium + tannin that leads to a long tingly enjoyable finish. Have a great weekend and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Somehow both complex and simple at the same time. A touch of funk but well balanced by fruit and chalky earth. Paired easily with just about everything on the table. (Pastificio San Lorenzo)

Always a great choice, even when ordering for less wine obsessed dining companions. This 2015 is very drinkable young.

Renegade Wine dinner series at Rebelle NYC presented by sommelier Patrick Cappiello. Focus was on Cab Franc: 15 wines paired with 5 courses. Posting a few favorites.

An excellent wine, full bodied and vibrant. Flavors of cherry. Nice acidity very light tannins. Definitely out of my comfort zone and was surprised at how well this held up.

enjoyable and great for the price with enough complexity to keep it interesting and light enough to keep on drinking...
