Light color. Chestnut. Old school. Roses. Palate is deep and fresh. High acid and mid season cherry. Long and juicy. Lingering spice.

One of the last vintages from these old vines before they were taken out to replant. Soft silky Barolo tannins!

Early yet, but really beautiful right now. Perhaps a little more rich and plush given the vintage, but I'm not complaining. There's a depth and density to the fruit here that's surprising to me, though maybe it shouldn't be. Kept going back to this all night.

Jul 20th, 2016Great wine providing grip, pure and aromatic fruit and pronounced minerality. Dangerously easy to drink thanks to near perfect balance.
