The tannins are SUPER firm. Needs a decant and some food. Great earthy notes.

Solid. Robust purple/ruby color. Nose of tart blackberries and that unmistakable Tuscan dried fruit leather. Not so powerful as to overwhelm a simple pasta with tomato and garlic for lunch with out of town friends.

No mistake where this hallmark traditional bottling comes from. Only one place: Tuscany. Sour, dry cherry fruit with cedar, bay leaf and thyme. Classic and terrific. Requires tomato sauce acid and meat to balance out.
