Barolo Nebbiolo

Good Barolo and one of the best values from the Piedmont as far as I am aware of. Needs a while to open up, still tight. Could be a great wine down the road. James Suckling’s 92 points for this vintage seems high.

Incredibly tight at the moment so time will tell how it will open up. Distinct classic Barolo elements of roses and tar but hard to get any enjoyment from this right now. Something for 2030+.

Opened up with air. Can def age a few more years.

Pretty darn tight at first but came out towards the end. Needs another 10yrs

Ripe vintage showing and so delicious. Grapey nose-almost Hawaiian Punch, tar, floral, licorice, grippy tannins. Drinking well now for a baby.

Violets cherry rose petals tar. Great for drinking right now.

Getting ready for Piemonte next week! A great value Barolo.

Lovely, and the softness of the vintage makes this accessible now. Beautiful balance of red fruit, floral aromatics, and grippy but not overwhelming structure.
