St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon

Two in a row. Best vintage ever from Bressler.. Love this.

Unlike many other 13s this is ready to go. 1 hr decant and it’s singing. Gorgeous nose. Toasty oak, crushed red currants, and green herbs waft up. Plush and bright, with red fruit, some blue fruit, dusty earth, rocks. Finishes with dark cherry cordial.

My first Bressler, and many thanks to @Martin G Rivard for introducing them to me! Big fan of Mia’s wines, and this was so good!

I opened this up to compare against Mark’s ‘09 to see how they differed. While this was enjoyable to drink close to pop and pour, it really blossomed after about 4hrs of slow ox. Fruit got really soft and mellow with the tannins more integrated. Red and black fruit is the signature flavor profile of this wine (baked black cherry pie) along espresso, cherry pipe tobacco, and a Black Forest cake-like finish highlighting dark chocolate shavings. Still on an upward trajectory.

Very balanced with dark blue and red fruits, brown sugar, a hint of anise and chocolate. Soft tannins, medium-full bodied. Decanted for 2.5 hours. Mia Klein is the winemaker (same as Cimarossa) so not a surprise that I love this.

Milk chocolate nose from way back. Tannins are barely noticeable. Black fruits run the palate. One of the 13’s that is drinking nicely! Fantastic wine @Bob Bressler !

I totally forgot to post this wine. We enjoyed it a few weeks ago. I truly can't say enough about it in regards to its quality, sophistication and stunning price point. Bob Bressler is passionate about wine and it shows in each and every vintage that he produces. BRAVO to his 2013!!!!! 😲 OMG is it good!
Gorgeous dark red fruit, great front, mid and back mouthfeel with a stunningly long finish. I'm certain this will benefit from a few years in the cellar BUT I would uncork, decant for 1 1/2 hours and enjoy this now all day long! It's that good!! 👏👏👏👏. A super bottle of a quintessential Cali cab. Must visit this place next time we are in Napa.
Possess the Napa signature nose of coffee, kirsch and hints of dark cocoa. The palette is textured, almost crunchy. Dense black fruits form the backbone of this juice. I would leave this another year as the tannins are poking out. Then it will weave together as the Bresslers always do. @Martin G Rivard, thanks bud 😃

The only thing better than this Bressler today was the company of my friends, family, gorgeous wife, daughter & grand daughter!!! Wine truly encapsulates an event and I could not think of a better way to highlight this Fathers day than to uncork a beautiful vintage that I've been saving for a special occasion. I killed 4 bottles of Bressler today. It was my 1st time tasting his 2013. Absolutely freaking amazing. Big, bold, Rich and opulent. Bob Bressler is a master at his craft. I've never lead any of you wrong before in regards to wines that I am passionate about. No Bullshit: buy this. Freaking amazing! I was snapping necks all day!! People would immediately turn and say "Holy shit, what is this!?!?!". I've said this a thousand times but I'll say it again: Bressler flys under the radar. Snatch up as much as you can right from the winery at a great price. Bob is a badass winery owner and loves it when you call!! Call on Tuesday since I'll be calling on Monday for another case and want to be sure that he has capacity!!!! Believe me., you won't regret it!!
This was the wine of the day and everything else we enjoyed was such a distant 2nd that I won't even post them! Bob deserves today's title of being the "Bad ass in a glass " wine of the night! Bravo my friend @Bob Bressler !!!!!
