This is a delicious Cabernet Franc from Napa Valley.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward, with nice complexity and mouthfeel. Tangy and interesting.
Showing black fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, coffee, mocha and cola.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 16 year old feels young, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
I love this vintage from Napa. Just gorgeous.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours of airtime. Good by itself as a sipping wine.
A small production of only 8 barrels.

Fell apart quickly - gained a nice lift from some VA but carried through in the finish. Would have been good to give this more time in the glass

A really delightful and delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from the Howell Mountain. Lots of dark fruit, some nutmeg with cigar box scents. Some underlying hints of nicely integrated oak. 10 years and aging wonderfully!!

By far the best Howell Mountain value ($39) I've ever had. Blackberries, bramble, and graphite. Moderately tannic long finish. Nice Monday night surprise. Worth twice as much.

Cedar, blackberry and dark cherry flavors are balanced out by healthy acidity. You can tell this is Howell mountain fruit. Opened up quite a bit after breathing for a couple hours.
